Holy messes, divine detours, and a whole lot of grace

Holy messes, divine detours, and a whole lot of grace

Hi, I’m a mom of two boys, a mental health professional with 14+ years of experience, a social worker and journalist by training, a grammar nerd, and someone who believes deeply in the power of raw honesty, divine grace, and a good laugh — especially when life gets weird. Because, let’s face it, it’s just plain weird.

This blog is where I unpack the messy, miraculous, and often hilarious journey of faith, healing, and motherhood. I write for those who feel unseen and unheard, because I’ve spent my career — and my life — listening to the quiet stories, the broken pieces, and the sacred in-between moments that rarely make headlines.

I was diagnosed with cancer at 24, went into menopause before I could legally rent a car, and somehow right back out of menopause just as quickly. I have heard God’s voice in the bathroom and in the hospital room. I’ve wrestled with grief, infertility, identity, and purpose — and through it all, I’ve found beauty in the imperfect, the silly, the sacred, and the strange. Turns out, God has a wild sense of humor and a habit of showing up in the most unexpected places. He made me, random sense of humor and sometimes disturbing amount of panda love and all.

Here you’ll find stories that are unpolished but true. I don’t do filters or fluff — just real life, real faith, and the occasional panda reference (because yes, I’m obsessed). Also, fair warning: my dog smells terrible but loves fiercely, and he’s basically a walking metaphor for grace.

If you’re here for curated perfection, this might not be your place. But if you’re here for truth, tenderness, and a reminder that God doesn’t waste pain — welcome. You’re seen. You’re heard. You belong.
